How do I order beef or pork?

What cuts do I receive with a beef or pork?
Our processor provides us a check list of various cuts that make up your beef or pork order. Each cut will be frozen, vacuum packed & labled with type of cut and weight.
Once you have placed your order for beef/pork , you will fill out a simple cut list selection for the specific processor we use. Here you check off what beef cuts you wish to have from this processor. There may be additional cost on custom cuts, for instance if you want pressed hamburger patties, an additional fee will incur.

How is the price of my beef or pork determined?
As the beef or pork is processed, the hanging weight is determined & verified with a customer print out before cutting and packaging.
Note: Our beef hanging weights typically range from 450 lbs to 500 lbs
Our Pork hanging weights typically range from 175 lbs to 250 lbs
Example Beef : The hanging weight of a beef is 450 lbs
This whole beef would cost:
450 lbs x $4.90 = $2205.00
This one half beef would cost
225 lbs x $4.90 = $1102.50
Example Pork : The hanging weight of a pig is 250 lbs
This whole pork would cost
250 lbs x $4.90 = $1225.00
This one half pork would cost
125 lbs x $4.90 =$612.50
Is there a Delivery Cost?
Yes
Delivery Cost is based on mileage from our home to yours. Give us a call for delivery information.
How do I pay for my beef/pork?
Once you have signed up for a beef or pork, whole or half, we request a $100.00 hold fee, sent to us by postal mail. This fee will assure that you are willing to pay upon delivery. We deliver to you as soon as the beef or pork processing is finalized. We will contact you with a date of delivery. We accept cash or personal check upon delivery.
Do I have enough freezer space for a beef or pork?
A rule of thumb in determining your freezer space is one cubic foot of freezer space for 35-40 lbs of meat.
Most Freezer Sizes: Compact (5 cubic feet) ... Small (6 to 9 cubic feet) … Medium (12 to 18 cubic feet) … Large (18+cubic feet).
Where Are Freezers Available?
Southfork Farm will offer a Hot Point 7.0 cubic freezer to our customers at retail price when ordering beef/pork. Generally this 7.0 cubic foot freezer will hold a Southfork Farm one half beef or a whole pork. Our customers have found great difficulty in purchasing freezers at their local retailers. If you are in need of a freezer, book one when you sign up for beef or pork. Cost of the freezer will be added to your final beef or pork price.
